Recently, some of our readers reported that they stumbled upon the Windows 7 recovery start menu icons. Then open explorer and navigate to C:usersusernameappdatalocal (make sure you can view hidden folders) and remove IconCache. db. Finally, double click on the file. bat that everyone has saved on your desktop and many icons need to be restored.

windows 7 repair start menu icons

    Yaso Report January 29, 2009 9:05 amGMT
    Hello,

I spent 5 days to solve this problem

    Ctrl + Alt + Del // File — New Task (Run…) // explorer.exe // OK
It shows your desktop symbols but doesn’t unload
To resolve this issue, follow these steps.

1- Copy “explorer.exe” from another clean computer (from C:WINDOWS)
2- On some computers, go to the C:WINDOWS folder.
3- Create hidden files (Tools – Folder options – View – Show hidden files and folders)
4- Get rid of Explorer.exe and other arbitrary files Run in conjunction with Explorer…
5- put the file unambiguously (explorer.exe)
    6- Logout
    7- Login

Congratulations, your computer is now healthy!

I have the same problem, but although I try to follow your books, nothing happens.
I go to Ctrl+Alt+Del and try to find “explorer.exe”, I add it, but nothing happens “ok”.

I’ve seen this happen with some Connections in Windows XP on many computers. Ctrl-Alt-Del gives no shutdown option, and there is no shutdown option either. In this case, the user must perform a hard shutdown to turn off the device (press and hold the power button for five seconds). BUT – the good thing is that this setting is custom – meaning that if your company logs in with different information, these immediate shutdown options will be restored. It’s not a great solution, but it seems to work.

My authorization changed when HP took over my computer, go and actually change it and reset what is needed for your authorization. The last one was the boot menu. I even did a restore point but didn’t try anything. I hope this can help
